Best Business Registration Practices( KYC verification requirements)

KYC basically means Know Your Customer and it is primarily a set of procedures that institutions and set ups must follow to verify and identify their customers.

The main purpose of KYC ID is to prevent fraud and to also help institutions know and understand their customers.

KYCs are crucial for maintaining the integrity of the platform. It also helps create a safer environment for businesses and users due to the identity checks.

At CeeTrust, we are big on trust and as such, we strive to maintain this by properly scrutinising KYCs to ensure that the trust and integrity of the community is not compromised.

Here are a few things you SHOULD DO when submitting your KYC as a business owner on CeeTrust.

  • Please submit high quality clear images of your documents. This is because you don't want it to become blurry and difficult to verify.
  • Ensure that documents are current and valid. Documents must be not older than 6 months.
  • Double check documents to ensure that information on them matches the ones on your registration form.
  • Submit only COMMERCIAL bank details. Neo Banks such as Moniepoint, Opay, Palmpay are not allowed.
  • Fill in all required fields in your registration.

Alternatively, you SHOULD NOT:

  • Provide forged or altered documents. This is a serious offence and will result in outright rejection of your application.
  • Submit incomplete documents. This will slow down your verification process.
  • Submit screenshots of documents. Screenshots are low-quality images and may be dark or blurry. CeeTrust needs high-resolution images to be able to process your verification.
  • Send your documents through unverified channels. Please use channels provided by CeeTrust only.
  • Hesitate to ask questions when necessary. Please reach out to the support team for more clarification if needed.

Please note that documents are handled with utmost security and confidentiality. We have a privacy policy that outlines how we collect, use and protect your personal information. You can review our privacy policy *here*
